Boomtown, the UK’s most musically varied and theatrically ambitious event, will be returning for it’s tenth year celebrations over 9th - 12th August with tickets currently on sale!

For their tenth year celebrations, Boomtown are planning on raising the bar even higher than previous years, and looking to put on a show even more mind blowing than usual:

We're throwing everything we've got at Chapter 10! Operationally, creatively and musically we're planning the most spectacular experience and a culmination of everything we’ve been working towards and have taken on board ever since the Town's creation back in 2008.’

As well as the festival tickets going on general release this evening, Boomtown has announced their charity partner for the 2018 event will be local youth charity, Winnall Rock School, who provide free music lessons to young people aged 10 to 17 in local neighbourhoods where there are higher than national average levels of social deprivation.

"We're absolutely thrilled and delighted to be chosen as Boomtown's charity partner for 2018. Donations will all go directly towards our work with disadvantaged young people learning and making music at our studios and also give them the chance to perform at Boomtown and other festivals and venues in the area. Whoop whoop!"

Marilyn Michalowicz - Trustee of Winnall Rock School

Charity plays a big part in Boomtown’s ethos; £116,303 was raised for charity from the 2017 event, with a staggering £32,000 going directly to charities and projects in the local area. The festival also teamed up with a record breaking number of charities including local organisations; Street Reach, Hampshire Air Ambulance, Trinity Winchester, Naomi House, and the South Downs National Park Trust, to name just a few… more information on the charity page here.

This mind-blowing theatrically immersive event will be inviting people from around the globe to join Boomtown’s vibrant community; to create their own characters and wander down the fictional city streets that is brought to life by hundreds of interactive actors, and become part of Chapter 10’s story this summer.

Independent - Just bear in mind once you go to this festival, everything else will feel a bit tame…

Hit The Floor Magazine - Boomtown is leading in a lot of areas that others are failing. The story, attention to detail and sheer size of some of the stages are simply incredible.

The West Review -  In truth it would be disrespectful to even limit Boomtown to the label of ‘music festival’; more a complete celebration of community and creativity. Boomtown is a shoe-in for festival of the year- an event simply incomparable, and like nothing else on offer in the UK.

Independent Oxford - If you only go to one festival in 2018, make it Boomtown. As it’s indie, it makes a great effort to support indie traders, the local community and the larger creative community that makes its happen

Plymouth Herald - Boomtown at its best: a potent mix of music and theatre, gargantuan and grandiose in scale, which manage to be both thought provoking yet exhilarating entertainment.

Notion - Boomtown Fair is an immersive experience with attention to detail at every nook. It’s an attack on the senses for all the right reasons, and somewhere that every festival lover or inquisitive being belongs.
